For her beauty look, Jenn was inspired by the chic women of the ’60s and ’80s, from Catherine Deneuve to Lee Radziwill, Romy Schneider to the models in Vivienne Westwood shows. “I went for a slight cat-eye, deeper pink lip and a warm glow,” she says. “I love big hair, like Catherine Deneuve and Brigitte Bardot in old black and white movies, so we did a half-up look with lots of back combing to give it some height.”
To get that wedding day glow, she started working with her friend, the facialist Celine Kreis, in the months leading up to it, having a series of treatments. “My goal was just to enhance her glow by stimulating cell turnover and deeply exfoliating her skin,” shares Celine. “I curated a series of superficial chemical peels combined with pharmaceutical-grade skincare to achieve luminous, radiant results. We began with a lactic acid peel for its hydrating benefits, followed by three Jessner peels enriched with a blend of malic, glycolic, citric and tartaric acids, along with retinal, to refine texture and amplify her glow.”
Blondey and his groomsmen wore Thames head to toe: a tuxedo with a shawl collar, a black bow tie with a small embroidered T detail, a shirt complete with Thames studs and cufflinks, patent leather dress shoes, red label socks, and, of course, Thames jewellery. The bridesmaids meanwhile wore whatever they wanted, “I wanted the girls, some of whom had never met each other, to feel confident,” shares Jenn. “They looked perfect.”
As for the youngest members of the wedding party, the flower girls wore dresses by C’era Una Volta, finished with custom Thames ribbons made by Blondey’s lovely staff, with satin Mary Janes by Beatrice & George. “The ring bearers wore little tuxedos I found that came with the bow ties and cummerbunds, finished with little patent dress shoes,” explains Jenn. “Ebby, who carried the rings, had them on a custom Thames pillow to match the girls’ ribbons”
The wedding celebrations began with a rehearsal dinner at Arlington on the Thursday, for which Jenn wore a black dress by The Own Studio, with two-tone patent Chanel shoes. The next night called for drinks at The Savoy, when she wore a Phoebe Philo pale lilac pin-striped suit and Hermès mules. “Since we had three nights of events, I wanted to wear completely different looks, each of which show my personality,” she explains.
