First. I hate toll roads, but sometimes I have to use them.
HCTRA recently took over billing from EZTAG.
Why do they insist on keeping a balance of $10-40 on the account? Even if I have an autopay credit card open with them?
No other private company does that. I just don’t understand the business model for the tolls.
And if I ever move out of Austin or Texas, how hard will it be to get that $10-40 back from them? ?
(I say $10-40 because it depends on how many cars you have on file with them. Mine is $40. It could be even higher with more vehicles!)
