TALA, the activewear brand founded by influencer and entrepreneur Grace Beverley, has named Jon Wetherell as Creative Director ahead of ambitious expansion plans.
Having previously served as Creative Director at Net-A-Porter Group and Boden, Wetherell joins TALA with a wealth of experience in guiding creative teams and delivering campaigns.
He also brings expertise from working as Art Director at magazines including Esquire, GQ, Harpers Bazaar and InStyle.
Morgan Fowles, CEO at TALA, said: “I am delighted for Jon to be joining the team at TALA. His extensive experience in industry-leading brands and publications, alongside his exceptional creative vision, will be instrumental in solidifying our position as a leader in the active-inspired fashion industry.
In his new role, Wetherell will spearhead the marketing creative direction at TALA to drive the brand’s visuals and tone of voice.
Jon Wetherell, newly appointed Creative Director at TALA, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining TALA and contributing to its mission to deliver high-performance designs, problem-solving solutions and elevated design in the active fashion industry.
“TALA’s energy and dynamic approach to consciously created products aligns perfectly with the evolving needs of today’s consumers. I look forward to leveraging my expertise to drive the brand’s creative strategy and support its further growth.”
Founded in 2019, TALA’s mission is to create “sustainable and high-performance activewear, without the hefty price tag”.
The news comes ahead of ambitious international expansion plans and marks a “significant milestone” for the UK-based brand.
Last year, the brand secured a £5 million investment to support its plans for international expansion, with a focus on the US after significant customer and social media traction in the region.
