Kmart are continuing their First Nations partnerships with the launch of the new Spirit Entwining collection with artist Rachael Sarra. It combines contemporary design with First Nations culture across a range of bed linen, tableware, candles, wall art and more.
Rachael, a proud First Nations woman from Goreng Goreng Country, creates art that tells powerful stories and sparks meaningful conversations. Her signature contemporary style, infused with vibrant pinks and purples, invites emotions ranging from calm reflection to energetic inspiration – all while remaining deeply connected to her culture.
The collection is the result of a close and collaborative partnership between Rachael and Kmart’s locally led design team in Melbourne. By working together to honour the cultural significance and purpose behind each piece, the collection authentically represents Rachael’s vision, ensuring it is not only beautiful but purposeful.
Kmart’s head of community, Trish Briggs, shared: “Kmart is constantly working towards being a trusted and credible partner of First Nations peoples, and this collaboration with Rachael Sarra is a testament to our commitment. Due to the size of our business, we have a unique opportunity to celebrate Indigenous artists, share their talents and amplify their storytelling through our products and inspire and educate both our customers and our team members.”
Through Spirit Entwining, Kmart is proud to bring Rachael’s stories to homes across the country, highlighting her ability to combine cultural storytelling with bold,
contemporary design.

As a First Nations artist from Goreng Goreng Country, I draw on my heritage to produce pieces that are steeped in culture, while being contemporary and future facing.”

The new collection will be available both in-store and online from this Thursday (13 March 2025).
