Keke Palmer’s Ponytail Is High Enough to Touch the Heavens — See the Photos

Baby, this is Keke Palmer — and her sky-high ponytail. The actor/singer/host/writer wore what may be the biggest, tallest, fullest ponytail I’ve ever seen for a visit to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, taking the glam factor to (literal) new heights.

Keke stopped by the late-night show to promote her new memoir, Master of Me, and did so looking extremely glamorous in a sheer black lace button-down dress and the aforementioned power pony. Her hair, styled by Kira Dior, was slicked back from her face and gathered at the crown of her head for a few inches of volume. Meanwhile, the lengths cascaded down in big, loose bombshell curls. It’s basically the definition of “va va voom” hair, with tons of body and bounce. In fact, the retro-inspired style would be right at home on a ’60s variety show, and you can see the proof — just watch Keke singing the “show tune” that she wrote for her toddler son Leo. (Spoiler alert: it’s very cute.)

The ponytail was obviously the centrepiece of Keke’s Tonight Show glam, but the rest of her look also deserves its moment in the spotlight. Makeup artist Kenya Alexis brushed Keke’s lids with a soft, smoky grey eyeshadow, then applied a rosy blush and matte brown lip for a fun fusion of ‘60s and ’90s vibes.

Keke Palmer and her glam team always bring their A-game and leave absolutely zero details unnoticed, which makes sense given Keke, like Beyoncé, is a proud virgo. Recently, we’ve seen the star having fun with fringe, including a retro pinup-girl style she wore for a night out and a curly set that looked picture-perfect with her glasses for an episode of Password. Keke kicked off 2024 with an Emmy win, scoring the Outstanding Host for a Game Show award for her work on Password, and did so in long, honey-blonde waves. We have no doubt that 2025 is going to be just as big for the Big Boss — if not bigger.
