Party season is in full swing, as evidenced by British Vogue’s Forces for Change party at Soho Mews House in Mayfair on Sunday night. The likes of Alva Claire, Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Iris Law gathered to celebrate another year of the initiative, which was launched in 2019 to shine a light on those making waves across the worlds of fashion, culture, politics, sports and beyond.
“We are proud of the work we have done by using our voice to give a platform to inspiring leaders, rising stars and new disruptors,” Chioma Nnadi, British Vogue’s head of editorial of content, said on the night. Guests raised a glass to some of these changemakers: Johnson-Thompson toasted Cameroonian boxer Cindy Ngamba, stylist Harry Lambert said cheers to Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons’s incredibly successful 2024, while domestic violence charity Sistah Space was honoured by Nathalie Emmanuel. Meanwhile, Nnadi recognised the crucial work of Nobel-winning human rights activist Nadia Murad. Following the round of toasts, the party continued upstairs with a soundtrack provided by DJ AAA, as Champagne, palomas, picantes, and espresso martinis by Hennessy circulated around the room.
