Florence Knight, of Sessions Arts Club, is setting up a new restaurant.
Where do you always return?
El Xampanyet, in Barcelona, is probably my favourite restaurant in the world.
Your perfect Christmas dinner menu?
A Caesar salad (no chicken), followed by a capon, roast potatoes, a green, mashed swede and gravy. For dessert: a trifle.
Kirthanaa Naidu
If Malaysia-born, London-based cook, stylist and creative consultant Kirthanaa Naidu is known for one thing (aside from her love of crumpled linen tablecloths, enviable flower arranging and second-to-none tablescaping skills), it’s her pandan cheesecake. The spearmint-hued Southeast Asian sweet treat has become her signature, requested by brands – Naidu has worked with everyone from sportswear brand On to Hourglass – and friends alike. For events, “I always do three different puddings,” she says, “and if I haven’t made the cake, people ask me, ‘Why? I’ve been dreaming of this.’”
What’s a treasured festive tradition?
Since we were 17, I’ve hosted a dinner party for my best friends. It’s something I’ll do for the rest of my life.
One restaurant you want to try?
Agora, in Borough Market.
And a food trend you’re ready to bid farewell?
Burrata.
