On Sunday, the Golden Globes 2025 will be broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, with comedian Nikki Glaser serving as host and the ceremony airing on both CBS and Paramount+. This year Emilia Pérez leads the Golden Globes 2025’s film nominations with 10 nods. It’s important to note that the Jacques Audiard–directed movie, which stars Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, Édgar Ramírez, and the recently engaged Selena Gomez, has earned the highest number of Globe nominations ever bestowed upon a musical or comedy. Just behind it is The Brutalist, Brady Corbet’s three-hour-and-35-minute two-part architecture epic with Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, and Joe Alwyn. Meanwhile, The Bear, the Jeremy Allen White–fronted dramedy costarring Ayo Edebiri, leads the television categories with five nominations. Only Murders in the Building and Shōgun are just behind it with four nominations each.
Meanwhile, categories that honor individual actors are stacked with high-profile nominees; in best performance by an actress in a drama motion picture, Angelina Jolie (Maria), Nicole Kidman (Babygirl), Tilda Swinton (The Room Next Door), Pamela Anderson (The Last Showgirl), Fernanda Torres (I’m Still Here), and Kate Winslet (Lee) are all competing to take home the honor. Brody (The Brutalist), Timothée Chalamet (A Complete Unknown), Daniel Craig (Queer), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Ralph Fiennes (Conclave), and Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice) are similarly facing off in the actor category.
