Emily Blunt frequently opts for long gowns on the red carpet, sometimes concealing her stylish heels beneath flowing fabrics. While she now exudes confidence at glamorous events, she once admitted, ‘I used to look like a deer in headlights on the red carpet. You step out of the car and it’s bedlam. Everyone’s got crazy eyes.’

Emily Blunt’s style is more than just fashion—it often plays a role in her on-screen transformations. While she stuns in designer heels at premieres, she also adapts her look dramatically for her roles.

One of her most striking transformations came in The Girl on the Train, where she traded her signature elegance for a raw, unfiltered portrayal of Rachel Watson.

In 2016, the wildly successful novel Girl on the Train became a big-screen thriller starring the fantastic Emily Blunt.

The film is centered around a character named Rachel, played by Emily, who is entangled in a murder case but suffers bouts of blackouts from her alcoholism.

Emily attended the film’s New York premiere and talked about how she had to wear three different contact lenses to act out her character’s alcoholism.

She wore pinkish contact lenses for scenes in which Rachel was buzzed, bloodshot contact lenses for scenes in which she was hammered, and yellow contact lenses for scenes in which she was hungover.

Blunt also said the contact lenses were “very uncomfortable” to wear, but she was willing to do it to make her performance as realistic as possible.

Emily walked the red carpet in a green Prada dress with thick blue piping at the bodice. The actress styled the dress with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Christian Louboutin “Tropanita” studded sandals.

While the dress was lovely, we can’t say this was Emily’s best look. Something about the shade of green clashed horribly with her pale skin and strawberry-blonde locks. Or it could just be that horrid lipstick shade. Overall, this look was off.
