Cheryl Hines Uses Nude RFK Jr. to Advertise Her MAHA Candles

It would appear that Cheryl Hines is standing by her man, and that man, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is nude, because she’s doing that standing outside their shower. The former Curb Your Enthusiasm star has taken her husband’s recent nomination to head the Department of Health and Human Services. and made marketing lemonade, using Kennedy’s public profile, naked body, and buzzwordy MAHA mission to advertise her home fragrance line.

On Friday, Hines posted a little tee-hee video on her Instagram Stories shilling deep Black Friday discounts on her Hines+Young beauty and wellness line, cackling, “Honey, you can’t take a shower right now, I’m doing a video!” into the camera, her head and the products she’s waving tantalizingly blocking her husband as he lathers up behind her. “Oh Bobby,” a text overlay on the story read. Yes, what a laugh, what a lark, what a hapless old man who doesn’t understand social media but is nominated to the Cabinet, hahahaaha! The clip ended with a shot of artfully arranged Hines+Young candles in scents including Hyannis Seagrass (“Think: Ocean air, skinny dipping, and sunshine,” the brand’s site explains of the aroma, evoking the Kennedy family’s long history with Hyannis Port and their famous seaside compound there), Capri Honeymoon (“sophisticated, refreshing, mysterious”), and the centerpiece, a MAHA candle.

What, pray tell, does Make America Healthy Again, Kennedy’s motto, smell like? Apparently, exactly the thing anyone who witnessed this (literally) naked grab at sales will never feel again: “Clean.”

Indeed, the brand’s website lists the candle for sale at $20, with the following product description: “Ready to Make America Healthy Again? Start in your home with a ‘clean’ Hines+Young premium soy wax candle. Our candles are non-toxic, made from natural ingredients, and eco-conscious in terms of sourcing, production, and burning characteristics.” (And, yes, the scare-quotes around “clean” are the brand’s own.)

The true lesson we learned this long Thanksgiving weekend is now clear: When RFK Jr. shows you his bare feet and beefy turkey fry technique, that is the time for action, lest things escalate. Those who don’t learn from the past, after all, are doomed to repeat it.
