On Sunday, perpetually fashionable actor Ayo Edebiri arrived at the Golden Globes 2025 wearing a grey menswear-inspired Loewe suit, accented with a long golden metal feather in place of a necktie. The look was reminiscent of the iconic pantsuit look that Julia Roberts wore to the 1990 Golden Globes ceremony, where she was honored for Steel Magnolias.
The 29-year-old star of FX’s The Bear is nominated for best female actor in a television series (musical or comedy), an award she previously won back in 2024. Edebiri’s turn as Sydney in the Chicago-based show about life inside a fast-paced kitchen has garnered plenty of attention, and her win at the Globes was the start of a streak that has left her with lots of hardware, including similar honors at the SAG Awards and the Emmys.
She works with stylist Danielle Goldberg, who also dresses Kaia Gerber, Greta Lee, and Olivia Rodrigo. In a June 2024 cover story, Edebiri told Vanity Fair that Goldberg helped ensure that her career’s rapid ascent was reflected in her wardrobe. “We just got kind of vulnerable,” Edebiri said of their first phone call. “[Goldberg] was like, ‘You’re a leading lady, I will dress you as such.’”
In the years since her role in The Bear turned her into a household name, Edebiri has opted for adventurous looks from brands like Loewe—who dressed her for the 2024 Met Gala—Thom Browne, and Bottega Veneta. At last year’s Golden Globes, she wore a custom Prada dress in a delightful crimson satin, and nabbed a spot on VF’s 2024 best-dressed list.
