Le Male has undergone many transformations over the years, having had multiple concentrations, exclusive summer specials, and even dedicated Pride limited editions. Its most recent reimagining turns the temperature up and sees the sailor theme go literal by taking to the high seas. A flamboyant and intense elixir, I found that not only is it a more powerful Le Male experience, but also a more sensual one. In other words, it is the perfect evening fragrance. Sultry and oozing sex appeal, it ignites the senses with syrupy benzoin and vanilla before drying down to a base of tobacco, honey, and tonka bean. I have a high tolerance for sweet fragrances, but this may not be everybody’s cup of tea; those who like it, though, will love it. Dressed in a gold and amber glass-striped sailor top, the bottle is also a bit of a crowd-pleaser.
