URGENT FOSTER NEED (all shelters full)

I hope I am posting this correctly. I tried posting earlier but was instructed to post today but I can’t find the “lost/found pets” post and can’t open my old post to read instructions. I promise I’m computer literate!

We are urgently looking for a foster for this sweet 1-2 year old 36 pound girl. I can only keep her until Sunday when my dog gets back from training. The original finder has two dogs of her own and can’t keep her. We have called all shelters and rescues. Everywhere is full. We have posted in FB groups, shared with influencer friends, posted all over IG. I am even reaching out to shelters in Arkansas to see if I can transport her there when I go to visit family in a few weeks.

She is the sweetest thing! I have had dogs all my life and I believe she will be fine with dogs and kids and likely scared of cats. She needs to be spayed which we will cover. I am even happy to cover her food for a few months.

“My fiance and I found a lost dog over the weekend on 12/1/24 and are in desperate need of help finding her a foster or reuniting her with her owner.

We’d foster her ourselves, but have 2 other dogs already and can’t handle another sadly.

We found her running around Easton Park in South Austin. No one is claiming her in any groups, Nextdoor, Ring, shelters, etc. I’m pretty sure she was dumped by owner.

Info:

• Female, not spayed (willing to get her spayed if that improves the chances of someone fostering or adopting her) • Black fur with white and black spotted paws • White fur on chest • Fully erect ers • Little white markings on face • NOT CHIPPED • Took her to the vet for a check up - got her rabies vaccine, flea & tick meds and heartworm taken care of • About a year old • Pitt / shepherd mix • Very very sweet, good with dogs • Crate & house trained • About 1-2 years old • Good on a leash

She’s veryyyy very sweet, all she wants is for us to cuddle her. She’s anxious at first when I walk away and cries a little, but settles down within 5 ish minutes and just lays patiently after that. Good in a crate & house trained too!

Just want to find her a good home to go to till she can be fully adopted or maybe even find a permanent home too.”
