AUSTIN, Texas — The Zilker Eagle Mini Train will stay open and run special holiday hours during the Austin Trail of Lights this year.
The Austin Parks Foundation says everyone is invited to ride the train during the evenings from December 10 to 23 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets will be priced the same as regular operating hours, which are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are sold at the train depot on a first-come, first-served basis at the time of the ride.

The train’s hours are subject to change based on weather and other conditions. Any closures will be posted on Zilker Eagle’s social media platforms.
The Zilker Eagle Mini Train returned on June 12 after being shut down five years ago after a storm severely eroded the ground beneath the tracks and getting it back in commission was a longer struggle than expected.
