Spanish clothing and footwear brand Camperlab will launch its first eyewear collection for spring/summer 2025.
The debut collection features two original designs, which aim to mirror the brand’s offbeat silhouettes and textures. The new eyewear is designed to replicate the textures and materials used in the rest of its offering.
The first design, the Nopea, named after the Finnish word for “fast” (nopeasti), boasts a wrap-around silhouette and features cut-out recycled steel frames. It is available in three finishes: powder-coated black, brushed matte silver, and silver chrome with mirror lenses.
The other is the Hirmu – which loosely translates to “monster” in Finnish, takes its textures and silhouette from the outsoles of the brand’s renowned footwear collection. The matte, cat-eye adjacent style echoes clay in its appearance. The Hirmu comes in four colourways: black, pale lemon yellow, grey, and chocolate.
Founded in 2015, younger sibling to 1975-founded Camper, Camperlab has historically placed sustainability at the heart of its offerings, having adopted the Responsible Wool Standard on its clothing items earlier this year, alongside sustainable waterproofing practices and a lifetime guarantee on four of its product lines.
The new collection is no different, with frames made using petroleum-free bio-circular acetate and recycled steel, while lenses use energy-efficient poly renew technology. Packaging includes recycled PET cases and lens cloths. All styles are categorised UV400, offering the top level of UVA and UVB protection.
The collection is available to members online now, and will open to the wider public tomorrow (3 December).
