The biggest sales period of the year is here. Well, nowadays it starts earlier and earlier, more of a Black Month than a Friday with the following weekend, but nonetheless it’s first today that everyone who do a sale this period has opened up theirs. And there’s plenty of good ones for shoe lovers, here’s a list of some of them.
Cavour
The Norwegian menswear store Cavour always have a lot of products part of their sales. This year many of their hand welted premium range of shoes, made by Xibao in China, are offered at a 40% discount, so down to about €600 (30% off as base, then 10% extra now this weekend with the code BW10). Also some of their Goodyear welted Spanish shoes and casual Blake loafers are part of the sale.
Myrqvist
The Swedish brand Myrqvist is offering Portuguese made Goodyear welted shoes have a 40% discount on a vast part of their range, meaning you can get a really good deal if they have something you’ve been eyeing. Seems like they raise the discount the longer in to the “Black Week” we are, so if you want to gamble on your size staying around maybe you can wait for Cyber Monday.
Shipton & Heneage
An establishment on the British quality shoe scene, Shipton & Heneage, may be a bit under the radar nowadays compared to a while back, but they still have a strong offering. They currently run a 15% discount sitewide campaign with the code BF24, with most of their shoes being Goodyear welted made by Northampton factories.
Meermin
Spanish brand, Chinese made Goodyear welted shoes, great prices already at RRP. Now during Meermin’s Black Friday campaign you can get a hold of a pair at a very low cost, when they offer discounts of up to 50%, so below €100. Most are a bit less discounted than that though, but still good chances for a nice bargain.
TLB Mallorca
Sometimes it’s crazy to thing that this brand has existed for only eight years, given how established and renowned TLB Mallorca feels. During the Black Friday weekend they offer a discount on all their offerings, 10% off on most of their RTW styles from both main line, Artista range and Kiowa, 15% off on a more limited selection of RTW styles, and then with MTO shoes you get a free belt and lasted shoe trees.
J. FitzPatrick Footwear
J. FitzPatrick, the brand of Justin “The Shoe Snob” FitzPatrick has two ranges of welted shoes, one entry level one and one finer midrange. They offer 25% off on all RTW shoes this week, and if you want to order an MTO you’ll get a 20% discount. Good time to finally get that pair you’ve been thinking of.
Septième Largeur
French midrange brand Septième Largeur, with Spanish-made welted footwear, runs a bit of a special Black Friday campaign. They have removed the upcharge for patina, meaning you pay the regular RTW price for all their crust leather models where you then can choose your very own patina. If you want something unique, this is something to look closer at.
Skolyx
The company I work for, Skolyx, only has sales once a year. You’ll find 30-60% discounts on a lot of stuff, some models that are to be discontinued and a bunch of seconds and samples etc, from brands like Skolyx, Yanko and Midas Bootmaker. Also here you can get a 10% discount on the range of in stock TLB Mallorca shoes the store has.
Stefano Bemer
Italian premium shoe company Stefano Bemer, whose main offering is their locally made hand welted range, has a 30% discount on a selection of their shoes. Good chance to take the plunge if you’ll find something you like.
As always, this is just a small selection, much more good sales are out there. Give your tips in the comment section.
