One day I’ll get invited to Jennifer Aniston’s annual Friendsgiving dinner, and that’s how I will know that I’ve finally made it.
On 25 November, the Monday before the actual Thanksgiving celebration in the US, the Friends actor posted, “a few scenes from Friendsgiving,” to her Instagram Stories. The “few scenes” were actually all contained in one picture, which showed a series of Polaroids arranged on a table.
Aniston didn’t tag any of her friends who were featured in the Polaroid spread, but if you look closely you can make out her Friends co-star Courteney Cox, as well as another bestie, Sandra Bullock.
Earlier Friendsgiving celebrations at chez Aniston included the one in 2019, which was reportedly attended not only by Cox and Bullock but also by Aniston’s ex-husband Justin Theroux and her Horrible Bosses co-star Jason Bateman. That year, Theroux dubbed the gathering “fakesgiving” on his own Instagram Story.
In 2018, Jimmy Kimmel — a regular Aniston Friendsgiving attendee — asked Aniston on his own show if she’d be open to serving non-traditional Thanksgiving fare at her annual gathering. (She was less than enthusiastic about this proposal.)
All I’m going to say is that if I ever got invited to Jennifer Aniston’s Friendsgiving, inarguably the celebrity holiday party of the year, I would definitely not be complaining about the menu.
