A Male Deer. He's still alive

I found a male dear. He’s still alive. He looks like just been injured. I reported him to Austin Wildlife Rescue. They said to give him a day to recover. It looks like he got hit by a car. Does anyone have any other ideas of what to do with him. I reported him to my apartment complex already.
