The 2024 HIA-CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards showcase the achievements of Housing Industry Association member builders and building professionals in the NSW housing industry.
The winners were recently announced at the International Convention Centre, Sydney.
The coveted Home of the Year award went to JJ Building Co for their build which judges described as having some of the finest craftsmanship they have ever judged. The same home also took out the Custom Built Home of the Year category.
Perched on Avalon Beach’s southern headland, Surfside House masterfully blends solidity with transparency. Built from durable materials, the home showcases meticulous craftsmanship, overcoming significant construction challenges including precise stonework and complex angles.
“Without a doubt this is a remarkable example of the exceptional quality and workmanship available in NSW and is a great testament to JJ Building Co,” said HIA NSW executive director David Bare.
HIA NSW Kitchen of the Year was taken out by Studio Minosa and Panache Kitchens for the third year in a row and HIA NSW Bathroom of the Year by Birdblack Design and Aspire Constructions.
The HIA NSW Roger Pysden Apprentice of the Year went to Bradley Johnson. “Bradley’s journey is marked by exceptional achievements and a strong commitment to excellence. His outstanding communication skills and work ethic, along with his mentorship of peers and charitable contributions highlight his potential as a future leader in our industry, ” said David.
Park Hill Designer Homes, Wisdom Homes, Metricon Homes NSW, Aria Homes (NSW) and Vogue Homes all picked up awards in the highly contested display homes categories with McDonald Jones Homes taking out HIA NSW Display Home of the Year.
Eden Brae Homes won the HIA NSW Professional Major Builder award with Better Built Homes taking out HIA NSW Professional Medium Builder/Renovator and Tass Construction Group winning the HIA NSW Professional Small Builder/Renovator award. Eden Brae Homes also took out the HIA NSW Work Health and Safety award.
Made Property Group won HIA NSW Apartment Complex of the Year. The HIA NSW Renovation/Addition Project of the Year was awarded to Lexpol Group and HIA NSW Townhouse / Villa of the Year went to Hammercorp.
