Jennifer Lawrence stepped out for a rare red carpet appearance this week, showing off her baby bump in vintage couture.
The actor attended the premiere of the Apple original documentary Bread & Roses at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles on November 14, showing off her excellent taste in gowns — and her bump.
Lawrence wore a Christian Lacroix gown from the designer’s 2006 haute couture collection. The long, flowing black gown draped down over Lawrence’s baby belly and was adorned with an elaborate sheer bow at the top. The dress had off-the-shoulder sleeves made of tulle and hung loosely on her arms.
Lawrence’s longtime stylist Jamie Mizrahi shared on Instagram that she worked with vintage designer source Shrimpton Couture. Lawrence kept the gown as the main event, opting not to wear a necklace and instead stick with simple silver earrings.
Her glam included a sleek, slicked-down bang with her honey-blonde hair hanging down her back. Lawrence had a brown smoky eye and matching lip.
Lawrence served as a producer alongside her producing partner Justine Ciarrocchi on Bread & Roses, directed by Sahra Mani, and executive produced by Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and Farhead Khosravi. Yousafzai’s production company, Extracurricular produced the documentary alongside Apple. The documentary follows three women in Afghanistan who are navigating their livelihoods after Kabul fell to the Taliban in 2021.
Jennifer Lawrence has kept busy over the last few years as a producer and is expected to be part of several upcoming projects. She recently celebrated the premiere of Zurawski v Texas, another documentary film that touches on the strict anti-abortion laws in Texas. While she’s keeping busy, and continuing to act, she’s also expecting her second child with her husband Cooke Maroney. Lawrence welcomed her first baby name Cy in early 2022, named after Maroney’s favorite artist, Cy Twombly.
