Elizabeth and Damian Hurley’s Unforgettable Crown Oaks Day at Flemington.

From Red Carpet to Fashion Royalty: Elizabeth and Damian Hurley’s Stylish Journey

When Elizabeth Hurley slipped into that iconic black Versace dress at the 1994 premiere of ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ alongside Hugh Grant, who would later become Damian Hurley’s Godfather, little did she know it would launch her into a style icon. With its daring slit down the side held together with gold oversized safety pins and sultry silhouette, the dress not only stole the spotlight but also marked the beginning of a fashion journey for the actress and model. Reflecting on those early days, Liz told Harper’s Bazaar, “Back in those days, I had no idea about fashion.” Fast forward nearly three decades, and Hurley has become synonymous with her fashion choices that are usually sultry, and show stopping.

Elizabeth has evolved into a fashion powerhouse, collaborating with legendary names like Gianni Versace and becoming the face of Estée Lauder. Her ability to effortlessly blend classic glamour with contemporary flair has solidified her status as a woman of style, inspiring countless fashion enthusiasts along the way.

This year, Elizabeth and her son, Damian Hurley, took their love for fashion to the Crown Oaks at Flemington, where they played pivotal roles in the judging of the renowned Fashions on the Field competition. The event was a celebration of creativity and style, with standout winners Emma Scodellaro and Kalombo Ntumba taking home nearly $35,000 in prizes for Best Dressed and Best Suited. The atmosphere was electric as fashionistas showcased their most imaginative ensembles, and Elizabeth and Damian were right in the middle of it all, lending their discerning eyes to the exciting competition.

The Hurley’s and Warne’s Reunite

Beyond the glam of the Fashions on the Field, the day was also filled with heartfelt moments for the Hurley family. After the event, they caught up with with Brooke, Jackson, and Summer Warne, the children of Elizabeth’s late fiancé, making this reunion an emotional occasion. Taking to their social media platforms, Liz and Damian expressed their joy at this long-overdue gathering.

Damian said, “my family forever, coming back to Australia was always going to be hard. Part of me wanted to put it off forever, knowing that once here, the reality of SW’s passing would truly sink in. Now, being back in this beautiful place, which I was lucky enough to once call home, I’m overwhelmed with more love than I’ll ever be able to put into words. My heart it full.”

As the families posed and took some magical selfies together, Liz said, “it was a beautiful day with Shane Warne’s family, thank you to Shane’s brother Jason and to his children, Brooke, Jackson, and Summer for all your cuddles and kisses.
