Recently moved here in the SW Oak Hill Area, and work in Kyle. Just got medical insurance (BCBS HMO).
I’m healthy so I’m not worried about anything, but would like to get some recommendations on which medical group are easier/quicker to get into, ease of making appointments online, and has a good specialist network if needed. I’m interested in seeing a dermatologist potentially. My work schedule is inflexible so more available appointments is important to me. Added bonus if they have branches near my work in Kyle.
From the research I’ve done, it seems like of the big hospital networks, the best ones are Baylor Scott White and St Davids. And then for more primary care ARC, ADC, and Premier Family Physicians all seem pretty good. ARC seems to have more specialists on their staff which I feel could be a good thing.
Any insight on picking one of these? Would it be beneficial to get a foot in both one of the hospital groups, AND one of the more primary care groups?
Thanks!
