While we’re willing to unashamedly read into the “whatever the future holds” part, this does feel like something of a farewell post from the actor, with her continuing “Thank you Taylor.
Thank you the audience we made it for, for being on this journey with us. We really cared about making something special for you all.”
Luke Grimes also took to Instagram to post his own farewell to the show, posting a picture with the caption “End of an era. Goodbye Kayce. You are a better man than I. To my yellowstone family, thank you for the experience of a lifetime.”
We’re not crying, you are.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter Hauser made clear that he thought Taylor Sheridan could deliver another season if we wanted to, saying “Taylor can figure out how to absolutely continue if he wants to. But that’s just Taylor being a brilliant writer. I’m not telling you that it is continuing, it’s just that he’s smart enough as a writer to do that if that’s something that he is passionate about.”
Where do we sign the petition to get this thing off the ground please?
What we know about Yellowstone’s spin-offs
Ok, so we may not have confirmation of Yellowstone season 6, but the good news is that a recent report from Deadline noted that Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will star in a spin-off series based at their new ranch which they relocated to at the conclusion of Yellowstone.
Likewise, we also have The Madison to look forward to, a Yellowstone spin-off set to star Michelle Pfeffier and Matthew Fox which grapples with “themes of grief and human connection”.
According to Deadline, Fox plays “a self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors” while Michelle Pfeiffer takes on the role of Stacy Clyburn, a mother who relocates her family from New York to the Madison River valley in central Montana.
So in a way the Yellowstone goodness isn’t over just yet. Phew.
