As the fashion industry eagerly anticipates the Autumn/Winter 2025 edition of Scoop, Founder and Managing Director Karen Radley is busier than ever, curating an exceptional lineup of designers and collections. From exploring the vibrant design scene in Barcelona to uncovering fresh talent across Europe, Karen’s commitment to innovation and creativity ensures Scoop continues to set the standard as London’s most inspiring showroom event. With a blend of international flair, artistic inspiration, and cutting-edge fashion, this season’s Scoop promises to be a celebration of trailblazing design and culture.
Q: In the lead-up to Scoop, you must be very busy with preparations. What key things are you working on at the moment?
I’m currently immersed in scouring European markets for fresh talent and exciting collections to bring at Scoop. Just recently, I returned from Barcelona, where I had the opportunity to meet with some incredible clothing designers including Beatriz Furest, SIYU and Dr.Bloom, shoe designer Augusta The Brand and many more. There are some truly inspiring collections this season that I can’t wait to showcase.
Q: What are the key factors you look for when sourcing new designers for Scoop?
Scoop is all about celebrating innovation and individuality. I look for designers who are pushing boundaries and setting trends in contemporary fashion. Each collection in the lineup brings something fresh and unique, ensuring Scoop remains a beacon for newness and creativity in the industry.
Q: Are there any markets that consistently inspire you?
Fashion is deeply influenced by the cultures it originates from, and I find that international perspectives always inspire me. That said, I do have a particular soft spot for French style—it’s timeless, sophisticated, and effortlessly chic.
Q: Are there any countries currently emerging as hotspots for new designers?
Scoop’s lineup is truly global, and we pride ourselves on introducing collection from across the globe each season. There’s a lot of exciting talent coming from different corners of the world namely the US, Greece, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy and it’s wonderful to see how they bring their own cultural inspirations into contemporary fashion.
Q: You have linked art and Scoop together as part of the new campaign. Is that a big influence on Scoop and the collections you present?
Since its inception, Scoop has been about the synergy between fashion and art. To me, fashion is art. This connection influences everything we do; from the collections we present to the atmosphere we create at the show. It’s about celebrating creativity in all its forms. This season’s campaign, A Celebration of Artistic Trailblazers, dives into a vibrant mix of some of the words most recognisable names in art and culture, creating a playful blend of iconic imagery, textures, and colours.
Q: It is a challenge for you to come up with a new theme each season. What can we expect in February?
One of the exciting elements of Scoop is that each season’s look is kept under wraps until the show opens. Our visitors enjoy that sense of anticipation and discovery when they arrive. For February, I can promise a captivating and inspiring setting that complements the beautiful collections on display. The full reveal awaits on 9-11 February 2025.
The much-anticipated Autumn/Winter ’25 edition of Scoop will take place from 9-11 February 2025 at Olympia West, Kensington. Visit www.scoop-international.com for more information.
